KING RECEIVES CLEMSON OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD

Ashley King of Townville, SC, a junior at Clemson University majoring in Agricultural Education, is the recipient of the Dr. James H. Daniels Outstanding Service Award for 2010, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

The prestigious award, named in honor of Dr. James H. Daniels, retired Clemson University Agricultural Education Department Head and Associate Vice President for the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences, was presented to Ashley by the Clemson Collegiate FFA Organization at a recent awards and recognition banquet.

A graduate of Pendleton High School where she was an active member of the FFA, Ashley served as vice president of the Clemson Collegiate FFA during 2010. She was awarded the coveted American FFA Degree by the 523,000 member National FFA Organization during its annual convention in Indianapolis, Indiana in October.

Ashley is the daughter of Boyd and Melissa King of Townville, SC.
