PRIESTER RECEIVES LEADERSHIP AWARD AT CLEMSON

Waylon Priester of Brunson, SC, a December 2010 graduate of Clemson University with a BS Degree in Forestry, was named recipient of the John W. Parris Agricultural Leadership Award by the Clemson Collegiate FFA Organization at a recent awards and recognition banquet.

The prestigious award, named in honor of John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA and a nationally recognized retired agriculturalist and conservation official , was presented to Priester for his service as president of the collegiate FFA organization and being selected the outstanding member in 2010.

Priester, a graduate of Barnwell High School, was an active member of the Barnwell County Career Center FFA Chapter. He attended and graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College where he majored in Forestry. He then enrolled at Clemson University where he majored in Forestry. In addition to his leadership in the Collegiate FFA, Priester served as an Ambassador for the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences while at Clemson.
