EARLE NAMED PRESIDENT OF SC AGRICULTURAL EDUCATORS

 

COLUMBIA, SC... .W. Pat Earle, Agricultural Education Teacher at McBee, SC, has been named President of the South Carolina Agricultural Educators Association for 2004-05, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs for Agricultural Education. "He was also named the Outstanding Agricultural Educator in South Carolina for 2004", Parris said.

Earle was named to this prestigious agricultural education leadership position at the closing session of' the annual conference of the Agricultural Educators at Clemson University recently.

A graduate of Clemson University with a BS Degree in Agricultural Education and a MS Degree in Animal Science, Earle was first named the Outstanding Agricultural Educator in South Carolina in 1997. The McBee High School Agricultural Education Department, under his leadership, was named the Outstanding Program in South Carolina in 1999. He was named the Outstanding Young Agricultural Educator in the Southern States in 1991.

The McBee High School FFA Chapter has received the State Gold Emblem Award for the past 17 years and the Governor's Citation for Outstanding FFA Chapter Accomplishments for five consecutive years. The chapter has produced four State FFA Stars in Agribusiness, a number of State Champion FFA Agricultural Mechanics and Soil Identification Teams, several State winners in the FFA Public and Extemporaneous Speaking Competition and a number of State FFA Officers.

Mr. Earle was named Teacher of the Year in Chesterfield County in 1995 and 2004.
