AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION PROGRAM RECOGNIZED

CLEMSON, SC…The Central High School Agricultural Education Department has been recognized as the outstanding program in the Pee Dee area for 2009 by the SC Association of Agricultural Educators, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs for the organization.

Tim Maye, Agricultural Education instructor at Central High School, received the prestigious award during a recognition ceremony at Clemson University recently.

“In addition to an outstanding high school FFA chapter, the department is widely known for its successful Continuing Adult Agricultural Education program designed to spotlight modern advancements in the science, business and technology of 21 st century agriculture applicable to the Pageland area,” Parris said.

The SC Association of Agricultural Educators is a professional organization dedicated to providing excellent educational opportunities for students and adults interested in or involved in agribusiness.
