CHESTER ADULT AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION PROGRAM RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION

The Chester County Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association was one of six programs in the nation to receive the Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Agricultural Education Award presented by the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) at its annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2010, reports John W. Parris, state director of public affairs for Agricultural Education in South Carolina.

“Kip Beam, agricultural education instructor and advisor to the Chester County Young Farmer and Agribusiness group, was presented a two-year lease on a Toyota Tundra truck and an expense-paid trip to the National Association of Agricultural Educators conference in December 2010,” Mr. Parris said.

Toyota sponsors the NAAE Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Agricultural Education Award as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.
