W. Pat EarleEARLE IS OUTSTANDING AGRICULTURAL EDUCATOR IN SC
COLUMBIA, SC…W. Pat Earle, a member of the faculty at McBee High School, has been named the Outstanding Agricultural Educator in South Carolina for 2010 by the SC Association of Agricultural Educators, according to John W. Parris, spokesperson for the organization.
A graduate of Wingate College with an Associate Science Degree in Agriculture, Mr. Earle earned a BS degree in Agricultural Education and an MS in Animal Science at Clemson University.
Mr. Earle began his professional career in 1980 as an instructor of Agronomy at Florence-Darlington Technical College where he served as department head from 1983 to 1987. He was named Agricultural Education instructor and FFA advisor at McBee High School in 1987 upon the retirement of his father, E.B. Earle, who had held that position for 41 years.
A past president of the SC Association of Agricultural Educators, Mr. Earle has been recognized as a finalist in the National Rural Educator competition, named Outstanding Young Agricultural Educator in the southern states and awarded the prestigious Honorary American FFA Degree by the 523,000 member National FFA Organization.
