LOWREY RECEIVES STATE AG EDUCATION LEADERSHIP AWARD
F. A. ‘Andy’ Lowrey, president and chief executive officer of AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, Columbia, SC, has been named recipient of the John W. Parris Agricultural Leadership Award by the SC Association of Agricultural Educators.
The award was presented to Mr. Lowrey by Hillcrest High School Agricultural Educator Mark Earle, president of the SC Association of Agricultural Educators in 2010, in recognition of his outstanding support of Agricultural Education and the FFA at the state and national levels.
Mr. Lowrey, an FFA alumnus and son of an agricultural educator, is also recipient of the Honorary American FFA Degree presented by the National FFA Organization. Additionally, the AgFirst Farm Credit Bank headed up by Mr. Lowrey, is a recent recipient of the National FFA Organization’s Distinguished Service Award.
The prestigious agricultural leadership award is named in honor of Columbia resident John W.
