FFA ALUMNI INVITED TO CLEMSON AG TAILGATE EVENT
CLEMSON, SC….The Clemson University Ag Alumni Board in conjunction with the Clemson University College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences is hosting the annual Ag Tailgate event at Fike Field House on Saturday, October 16, beginning three hours before kick-off of the Clemson-Maryland football game.
“A special invitation has been extended FFA alumni from throughout South Carolina to experience the enjoyable event along with Clemson University administrators and faculty; young people and other friends and students majoring in agriculture and natural resources at Clemson,” said John W. Parris, an official with the SC FFA and an Ag Alumni Board member. “FFA alumni will be recognized during a brief program scheduled before the meal at the event,” he added.
The Tailgate event, held in conjunction with Ag Youth Day, will be attended by hundreds of FFA members and others to experience Clemson for a Day and explore career options in agriculture, natural resources and life science majors. Educational displays, games and hands-on activities are free to anyone who attends. An Ag Alumni Board-sponsored Silent Auction will include a number of very interesting items.

“This energized gathering brings together large numbers of Clemson Ag Alumni and other supporters of Clemson University and the Clemson Tigers,” said Kirby Player, executive director of the Ag Alumni Board and chairman of the Tailgate event. “We look forward to a large turn-out of FFA alumni for this exciting Agricultural Celebration,” he added.
