State FFA President John A. Lesaine, Jr., presided over the ceremony with the poise and skill of a National FFA Officer.

Mrs. Jenny Sanford, First Lady of South Carolina reads the National FFA Week Proclamation signed by her husband, Governor Mark Sanford.

Representative William D. Witherspoon, Chairman of the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee presented State FFA President John A. Lesaine, Jr., Manning, SC, with the Joint Resolution authored by Rep. Witherspoon and co-sponsored by every member of the SC House of Representatives and passed by the House and Senate recognizing the SC FFA Association and endorsing National FFA Week in South Carolina. The Resolution was read and presented at the Ceremony during SC FFA-sponsored State Legislators Appreciation Day.

State FFA Officers presented Lt. Governor Andre Bauer a gift basket of McLeod Farms "MacsPride" fruit products during their visit to his office.

The Manning High School Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Karen Washington, inspired the audience with a very professional musical presentation before and during the ceremony.
