STROM THURMOND FFA MEMBERS AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS

JOHNSTON, SC . . . Strom Thurmond FFA members Wes Cheatham and Nick McKie have been awarded $500 college scholarships by the Edgefield County Young Farmer and Agribusiness Chapter.
Cheatham, in his second year at Horry-Georgetown Technical College, is majoring in Forestry and McKie will enter Clemson University this year as a freshman to major in Agriculture.
The scholarship checks were presented by Bob Bowie, Treasurer of the Edgefield County Young Farmer and Agribusiness Chapter and District Conservationist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in Edgefield County.
