YORK, SC…..Fresh from-the-field South Carolina strawberries are available now at the Bush-N-Vine Farm, a SC Department of Agriculture Certified Roadside Market, located at 1650 Filbert Road between York and Clover, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs for Agricultural Education in South Carolina.
Bob Hall and son, Samuel, a member of the York FFA Chapter, expect to have strawberries available for market until Christmas, utilizing special Horticulture techniques and certain varieties. The Hall family has been producing top quality fruit and vegetables for more than twenty years using drip irrigation and plastic mulch.
“Samuel, a tenth grade student, is as excited about the specialty farming operation as his dad and other family members”, says Frank Sandifer, Agricultural Education Teacher at the York Technology Center.
For additional information on the availability of the fresh strawberries, contact the Bush-N-Vine Farm at 803-684-4945 or 803-684-2732.
