COLUMBIA, SC…..Stephen Tyner, a member of the McBee FFA Chapter and a 2005 graduate of McBee High School, is the new President of the South Carolina FFA Association, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA. He was elected to this prestigious agricultural education leadership position at the closing session of the State FFA Convention held on the Clemson University campus, June 8-10.
Jacob Powers, a member of the Lexington Technology Center FFA Chapter, was named State Vice President. Emily Waggoner, a member of the Pendleton FFA Chapter, was named State Secretary. Vice Presidents include Michael Burdette, a member of the Calhoun Falls FFA Chapter; Shane Grice, a member of the Midland Valley Chapter and Jason Gore, a member of the Loris Chapter.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
