IN REGIONAL FINALS

COLUMBIA, SC….The Anderson District I & II Career and Technology Center FFA Tool Identification Team was named the Piedmont Regional Runner-up Team in the agricultural engineering-related competition held in Anderson County recently, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association. Participation in this event is limited to first-year agricultural education students.

Team members Ashley Brewer, Gabriela Pulliam, Christine Mahoney and Jeffery Ambrose competed against other teams from high schools in seven up-state counties. They were coached by Audie Green and Steve McGaha, Agricultural Education Teachers at the Technology Center along with Kyle Hatcher of Anderson, a senior at Clemson University majoring in Agricultural Education, who is practice teaching at the Center this semester.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education.
