SOUTH CAROLINIANS AWARDED AMERICAN FFA DEGREE

COLUMBIA, SC….Eight South Carolina students were awarded the American
FFA Degree at the recent National FFA Convention in Louisville, KY,
according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with
the SC FFA Association.
FFA members who received the prestigious agricultural education award are: Bryan F. Armstrong, Laurens Chapter; Bryan W. Lowman, Aiken Chapter; Amanda McGee, Crescent Chapter; James Minus, Edisto Chapter; Christopher L. Moss, Walhalla Chapter; Tiffany Stamey, Anderson Chapter; Blake Stevens, Loris Chapter and Joshua O. Waters, Gilbert Chapter.
“The American FFA Degree is the highest award available from the 476,000 member National FFA Organization”, Parris said. “Recipients are determined by their supervised agricultural experience, leadership skills and academic achievement”, he added.
More than 50,000 FFA members, their advisors, parents, school administrators, sponsors and other supporters from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands attended the 77th National FFA Convention, October 27-30.
