COLUMBIA,  SC….The Anderson I & II Career and Technology Center  FFA  Tool  Identification  Team was  named   the  Piedmont   Regional   Runner-up   Team   in   the   agricultural  engineering-related  competition   held   in  Anderson  County  recently,  according  to  John  W.  Parris,  State   Director  of  Public  Affairs  with  the  SC  FFA  Association.  Participation   in   this   event    is  limited  to  first-year  agricultural  education  students.

Team  members   Ashley  Brewer,  Gabriela  Pulliam,  Christine   Mahoney   and   Jeffery  Ambrose   competed   against  other   teams   from   high  schools  in    seven   up-state  counties.   They   were  coached  by   Audie  Green  and    Steve  McGaha,  Agricultural   Education  Teachers   at   the   Technology  Center  along  with   Kyle  Hatcher  of  Anderson,  a  senior  at  Clemson  University  majoring  in  Agricultural  Education,   who  is  practice  teaching   at  the  Center  this  semester.

The  mission of  the  FFA  is  to  make  a  positive  difference  in  the  lives  of  students   by  developing  their   potential   for   premier  leadership,  personal  growth  and  career  success  through   Agricultural  Education.
