BERRY MEETS WITH USDA UNDER
SECRETARY HAWKS
COLUMBIA, SC............. Blake Berry, a Clemson University student majoring in Agricultural Education and a former State FFA President from Fountain Inn, SC, met with Bill Hawks, USDA Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs, Washington, DC recently, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the FFA Association. Hawks was the keynote speaker at the conference attended by conservation and agriculture leaders from throughout the southeast.
Berry also met with Chuck Leavell. a widely known conservation author,
agriculturalist and musician from Dry Branch, Georgia. Leavell addressed the
conference luncheon and a few weeks later addressed the National FF A
Convention in Louisville,
Kentucky.
