COLLINS WINS SCHOLARSHIP

COLUMBIA, SC... ... Brandy Collins, a member and past president of the Batesburg-Leesville High School FFA Chapter, was awarded a $750 college scholarship by the South Carolina Pork Board at the 2004 State Fair, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association.

The scholarship was presented. to Brandy because of her outstanding achievements in swine production and showmanship and overall knowledge of the pork industry.

Brandy's FFA Advisor is Libby Hrlic, Agricultural Education Teacher at Batesburg-Leesville. High School.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
