DORN NAMED STATE FFA OFFICER
CLEMSON. SC….Jonathan D. Dorn of Calhoun Falls, SC, was elected State Vice President of the South Carolina Future Farmers of America (FFA) Association at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA.
A 2004 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School, Jonathan is the immediate past president of the local FFA Chapter. He was State winner in the FFA Agricultural Communications Proficiency Award in 2003 and a member of the State- winning FFA Agricultural Issues Team in 2002. He is a member of the State- winning Envirothon Team for 2004 and will compete in the National Finals in July.
Named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students, Jonathan was selected a National Honor Roll and All-American Scholar and served as a member of the National Beta Club. . He was also selected for membership in the United States Achievement Academy.
Jonathan will enter Erskine College this fall where he will major in English with a potential career in agricultural communications.
He is the son of Michael and Rhonda Dorn of Calhoun Falls. His FFA Advisor is Calvert Sherard, Agricultural Education Teacher at Calhoun Falls High School.
