GENTRY TO ADDRESS STATE YOUNG FARMER-AGRIBUSINESS CONFERENCE
Teddy Gentry, bass player for the internationally known musical group ALABAMA and owner of Bent Tree Farms and Cattle Company near Fort Payne, Alabama, will address the South Carolina Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association Conference scheduled at the Westin Resort Hotel in Hilton Head, January 21-22, 2005, according to John W. Parris State Director of Public Affairs for the association.
Gentry, owner of one of the premier cattle breeding operations in the South and Southeast, has 1500 brood cows. He keeps only those cattle that are genetically adapted to thrive and finish on grass pastures alone. He specializes in grass fed beef.
Utilizing cattle that are fed only grass and hay, his beef is never implanted with growth stimulants or fed antibiotics. Known by the trade name Burt’s Beef , these quality products are recognized for tenderness and taste. His “total grass fed beef” contains about the same fat content as skinless chicken breast.
Gentry will speak on his exciting approach to producing and marketing beef and the potential for revolutionizing America’s cattle industry.
