INDIAN LAND FFA TEAM TAKES TOP HONORS

COLUMBIA, SC….The Indian Land High School FFA Tool Identification Team took first place honors in the Mid-state Region Finals held in Chester County recently, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association.Team members Jason Packard, the High Individual Scorer in the competition; Jacob McIntosh, the Second High Individual Scorer; Melissa Walton and Brittny Ward out-scored teams from high schools in an eight-county area and will compete in the State Finals in Columbia later this month. Jerry Davis, Agricultural Education Teacher at Indian Land High School, is the Team Coach.
“Students who participate in this agricultural engineering-related event must be in their first year as agricultural education students and members of the FFA”, Parris said.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
