O’REAR NAMED STATE FFA OFFICER

CLEMSON, SC….Josh T. O’Rear of Aiken, SC, was elected State Secretary of the South Carolina Future Farmers of America (FFA) Association at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA.
A 2004 graduate of Aiken High School, Josh is the immediate past president of the Aiken FFA Chapter. He was a member of the Aiken FFA Floriculture Team and the high individual scorer in the 2003 state competition and went on to the finals at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.
A South Carolina Junior Academy of Science Senior Representative, Josh is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Tutor. He was also a Youth Leader for the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce. He served as a volunteer at two local retirement homes, the Aiken Winter Craft Show and the Historical Society Craft Show.
Josh will enter Clemson University this fall where he will major in Agricultural and Applied Economics with a career goal to be employed in international agribusiness.
His FFA Advisor is Joe Wilson, Agricultural Education Teacher at Aiken High School.
