PERKINS NAMED STATE FFA OFFICER

CLEMSON, SC….Jennifer Perkins of Conway, SC, was elected State Vice
President of the SC Future Farmers of America (FFA) Association at
Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, State
Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA.
A 2004 graduate of Carolina Forest High School, Jennifer earned 31 college-transfer credits at Horry-Georgetown Technical College while in high school. The immediate past president of the Myrtle Beach FFA Chapter, Jennifer coordinated the sixth annual Myrtle Beach FFA Golf Tournament. She appeared on the state-wide ETV television show “Making It Grow” to launch the observance of National FFA week in South Carolina and also appeared on WBTW-TV live to promote the FFA Golf Tournament and other FFA news.
She was the Pee Dee Region FFA Public Speaking champion and attended the Rural Telecommunications Conference in Washington, DC, in 2003. She was featured in the NEXT STEPS magazine as one of the top 11 students in South Carolina.
Jennifer will enter Clemson University this fall where she will major in Agricultural Education.
She is the daughter of Richard and Linda Perkins of Conway, SC. Her FFA Advisor is Harry Dubose, Agricultural Education Teacher at Carolina Forest High School near Myrtle Beach.
