STATE  FFA  OFFICERS  PARTICIPATE  IN  WATERMELON  FESTIVAL

 
PAGELAND,  SC….State FFA  President  Jamie  Hughes  of  Pickens, SC,  and   Josh  T.  O’Rear,  State  Vice  President  of   Aiken,  SC,  rode  in  the   2004  Watermelon  Parade  in   Pageland,  SC,  on  Saturday,  July  17,  according  to  John  W.  Parris,  State  Director  of  Public  Affairs  with  the  SC  FFA  Association.

The  officers  were  driven  in  a  vehicle  provided  by  Barry  Helms Chevrolet-Pontiac Dealership   in   Pageland  and  driven  by  Central  High  School  Agricultural  Education  Teacher  Ashli  Young.

The  Central  High  School  FFA  Float,  selected  as  the  Most  Creative,  was  pulled  by  a  truck   driven  by  Central  FFA  member  Jonathan  Rivers,  who  was   recently  named   the   Pee  Dee  Region  FFA  Star  Farmer   by  the  SC  FFA  Association.

Tim  Maye  and  Ashli  Young  are  the  Agricultural  Education  Teachers  and   FFA   Advisors  at  Central  High  School  in  Pageland,  SC.
