GLEASON MEETS WITH SCHAEFFER OIL OFFICIALS

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI….Alex D. Gleason of Calhoun Falls, SC, took time off from his cross-country bicycle trip to visit with Jay Schaeffer Shields, Chief Operating Officer of Schaeffer Oil Company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. He also met Hoon Ge, Vice President of Fuel Additives and developer of Schaeffer’s SoyShield, the first soy-based premium diesel additive.

Former State FFA Officer Gleason is a member of the South Carolina Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association and represents that organization as the State’s Spokesperson for Agriculture. He visited with the officials at Schaeffer Oil to express appreciation for their financial support of the National Young Farmer Education Association.

He was given a personal tour of the facilities by Jay Schaeffer Shields and Hoon Ge. Schaeffer is the oldest oil company in America and a leader in synthetic lubricants and premium diesel fuel additives.

Today, more than 30 percent of Schaeffer’s business is from Agriculture or the Agriculture-related sector.

Jay Schaeffer Shields expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be a financial sponsor of the National Young Farmer Education Association.
