State FFA President Stephen Tyner of the McBee FFA Chapter and Jason Gore, State Vice President from the Loris Chapter, rode in the 2005 South Carolina Watermelon Festival Parade in Pageland, SC, Saturday, July 1, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association.
(photo provided)The officers were driven in a vehicle provided by Barry Helms Chevrolet-Pontiac Dealership of Pageland.
The Central FFA Chapter also entered a float in the parade which was attended by thousands from throughout the southeast.
Ashli Young and Tim Maye, Agricultural Education teachers at Central High School, are the FFA Chapter Advisors.
