FFA ADVISOR AND OFFICERS ARE GRAND MARSHALS IN PELION PEANUT FESTIVAL PARADE
PELION, SC…..Frank R. Stover, Jr., Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor at Pelion High School, along with FFA chapter officers Kyle Lucas, Gary Williamson, Jeff Padgett, Ricky Thompson and Ben Treaster served as the Grand Marshals for the annual Pelion Peanut Festival Parade on Saturday, August 13, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association.
Mr. Stover was selected to participate as the Grand Marshal of the parade in recognition of his being named the Outstanding Agricultural Education Teacher in South Carolina earlier this year. The students were requested to serve with him because the successful FFA program at Pelion played a major role in Mr. Stover’s selection for this prestigious state award
