Emily Nance is presented the S.C. Farm Bureau award by Rick Doran.

NANCE AWARDED DAIRY SCHOLARSHIP AT STATE FAIR

COLUMBIA, SC…..Emily Nance, a senior at York Comprehensive High School and president of the Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center FFA Chapter, has been awarded at $2000 scholarship by the SC Farm Bureau Federation at the 2005 State Fair, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association.

Emily’s selection for the scholarship was based on a written test on the dairy industry, her dairy cattle showmanship success, dairy judging abilities, a record book of accomplishments in dairying and an interview with dairy professionals.

Rick Doran of Newberry, SC, presented the check to Emily on behalf of the SC Farm Bureau Federation.

Emily is the daughter of William and Jane Nance of McConnells, SC. Her FFA Advisor is Frank Sandifer, Agricultural Education Teacher at the Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center in York.
