WAGGONER NAMED STATE FFA SECRETARY

CLEMSON, SC…Emily Waggoner, a 2005 graduate of Pendleton High School, is the new secretary of the South Carolina FFA Association, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA. She was elected to this prestigious agricultural education leadership post at the closing session of the State FFA Convention held at Clemson University recently.

Waggoner, the immediate past president of the Pendleton High School FFA Chapter, will enter Clemson University this fall where she will major in Animal and Veterinary Science.

She is a daughter of Steve and Kitty Waggoner of Pendleton. Her FFA Advisor is Garrett Howard, Agricultural Education Teacher at Pendleton High School.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
