WAGGONER IS STATE FFA STAR FARMER FINALIST

COLUMBIA, SC….Emily Waggoner, a 2005 graduate of Pendleton High School, was named a State FFA Star Farmer Finalist at the recent State FFA Convention held on the Clemson University campus, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA.

Emily served as president of the Pendleton FFA Chapter in 2004-05 and was Valedictorian of her graduating class.

An avid dairy animal handler, Emily has shown cattle in numerous states, including at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. She has won numerous college scholarships as a result of her success in production and showing of dairy animals.

Emily was a member of the State FFA Champion Dairy Evaluation Team in 2002 and competed in the National Finals at the National FFA Convention.

A partner in her family-owned farming operation known as Kiss ‘Em All Dairy, she owns ten top quality dairy cows.

She is a daughter of Steve and Kitty Waggoner of Pendleton. Her FFA Advisor is Garrett Howard, Agricultural Education teacher at Pendleton High School.

Recently elected State FFA Secretary, Emily will enter Clemson University this fall to major in Animal and Veterinary Science.
