Justin Wilson is congratulated by National FFA Vice President Rachael McCall.WILSON RECEIVES NATIONAL FFA AWARD
COLUMBIA, SC…Justin Wilson of Anderson, a graduate of Crescent High School where he served as president of the FFA chapter, was awarded the American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention held recently in Louisville, KY, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association.
“This prestigious national agricultural education award is presented to a select number of outstanding FFA members from throughout the nation annually,” Parris said. “Selection for the honor is based on the student’s supervised agricultural program, academic achievement, and leadership ability,” he added.
More than 50,000 FFA members representing every state in the nation, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands attended the convention along with agricultural education teachers, school administrators, parents, sponsors and other supporters.
The entire convention, including the American FFA Degree Ceremony, was televised live nationally over the RFD-TV Satellite Network with Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong, co-hosts of the US Farm Report TV Program, as anchors.
Wilson’s FFA Advisors are Chris Corzine and Josh McCall, Agricultural Education Teachers at Crescent High School.
The mission of the 490,000 member FFA organization is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
