ANDERSON I AND II TECHNOLOGY CENTER FFA TOOL IDENTIFICATION TEAM FIRST IN PIEDMONT REGION

COLUMBIA, SC…The Anderson School District I & II Career and Technology Center FFA Tool Identification Team took first place honors in the Piedmont Region Competition held in Greenville County recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA Organization. Participation in this event is limited to first-year agricultural education students.

Team members Ryan Miller, Ethan Jones, Travis Lowery and Johnny Brewer competed against other teams from high schools throughout the up-state region. Team alternates were Andrew Taylor, Misty Norris and John McClain. They were coached by Steve McGaha, Agricultural Education teacher at the center. They will compete in the State Finals in April in Columbia.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
