BERRY NAMED OUTSTANDING SENIOR IN AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION AT CLEMSON UNIVERSITY

CLEMSON, SC….Blake Berry, a graduate of Hillcrest High School in Greenville County, has been named the Outstanding Senior in Agricultural Education at Clemson University, according to Dr. Tom Dobbins, Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Agricultural Education at Clemson.

The award was presented to Berry by Dr. W. Harold Allen, Chair of the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, at a recognition banquet sponsored by Clemson University’s College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences.

A former president of the South Carolina FFA Association, Berry has been recognized as the State FFA Star in Agribusiness and recently received the John W. Parris Agricultural Leadership Award presented by the Clemson University Collegiate FFA organization.

Mr. Berry, the son of Michael and Rebecca Berry of Fountain Inn, has been selected to participate in a two-week Tropical Biology Program this summer on the Island of Dominica which will highlight tropical agriculture and ecology.

Mr. Berry has studied at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland in addition to Clemson University and is preparing for a career in agricultural education.
