COLUMBIA, SC…Jennifer Perdue, a graduate of McBee High School from Bethune, was awarded the prestigious American FFA Degree at a ceremony held in Columbia at the State Capitol during National FFA Week, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the FFA organization.

“The American FFA Degree is the highest award available from the National FFA Organization and is presented to a select number of outstanding members from throughout the nation who excel in their supervised agricultural experience program, leadership ability and academic accomplishments,” Parris said.

A former state FFA officer, Jennifer is a senior at Clemson University majoring in Community and Economic Development in the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences.

 W. Pat Earle, Agricultural Education teacher at McBee High School, is her FFA Advisor.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
