STATE FFA VICE PRESIDENT POWERS ATTENDS SC POULTRY FESTIVAL

BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, C…Jacob Powers, Vice President of the SC FFA Association from Lexington, participated in the SC Poultry Festival held in Batesburg-Leesville on Saturday, May 11-13, according to John W. Parris, state director off public affairs with the SC FFA.

Batesburg-Leesville High School FFA Advisor Libby Hrlic and Chapter President Kevin Wallace coordinated arrangements for Jacob to ride in the parade by securing a convertible and driver.

The 20th annual Festival included a parade, youth rally, street dances, fireworks display, sand art, carnival rides, volleyball and golf tournaments and more.

The primary emphasis of the Festival is to spotlight the importance of the poultry industry to the Batesburg-Leesville community and South Carolina.
