COLUMBIA, SC….The Chesterfield High School FFA Tractors Operators Team has advanced to the state finals after successfully competing in the agricultural engineering-related event at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center near Florence recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA Association.
“Chesterfield FFA Team members Corey Rutan, Adam Ratliff, Jonathan Brown and Dustin Tyner earned the right to participate in the state competition scheduled at the State Fair Grounds in April”, Parris said.
The team was coached by Beth Whisenhunt, agricultural education teacher at Chesterfield High School, and J.T. Tolson, assistant coach.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
