YORK FFA TEAM ADVANCES TO STATE FINALS

COLUMBIA, SC…The York FFA Tractor Operation and Safety Team has advanced to state finals in the agricultural engineering-related event, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

“York team members Will Neely, Ben Thomson, Samuel Hall and Chad Whitesides competed against teams from high schools throughout the mid-state region in the event held at the Chester County Career Center recently”, Parris said. “They will participate in the state finals at the State Fair Grounds in April”, he added.

Frank Sandifer, Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor at the Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center in York, coached the local team.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
