COLUMBIA, SC… .Manning High School FFA members Kierra Howard, Brandy Del’Rio, La’Rita Dingle, William Bradshaw, Marrisa Cunningham and Leon Lee took top honors in the Agricultural Issues competition at the State FFA Convention held at Clemson University this summer, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
“The team members and their advisor, Michael Haynes, Agricultural Education Teacher at Manning High School, were awarded expense-paid trips to attend the National FFA Convention scheduled to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, in October,” Parris said. “The team members will compete in the National Agricultural Issues Finals during the convention,” he added.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
