WAGGONER AND GORE NAMED FARM BUREAU YOUTH AMBASSADORS
COLUMBIA, SC…FFA members Emily Waggoner of Pendleton and Jason Gore of Loris were named State Youth Ambassadors for 2007 by the SC Farm Bureau Federation at its annual conference held in Myrtle Beach recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA Association.
Waggoner and Gore each received a $2000 college scholarship, $500 in cash, an educational trip to Washington, DC, a Youth Ambassador blazer, an iPod nano, and an engraved portfolio.
As Youth Ambassadors, Waggoner and Gore will represent the South Carolina Farm Bureau at numerous agricultural events and meet with key agricultural and governmental leaders throughout the year.
Waggoner, a former state FFA officer, is a sophomore at Clemson University majoring in Animal and Pre-Veterinary Science and Gore, a former state FFA officer, is a freshman at Clemson University majoring in Agricultural Education.
