PELION FFA CHAPTER SPONSORED TRUCK AND TRACTOR SHOW

The Pelion High School FFA Chapter hosted a successful Truck and Tractor Show in concert with the 25 th annual SC Peanut Party held in Pelion, August 10-12, 2006, with entries from throughout the mid-state region, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA Association.

Another highlight of the party was the parade held on Saturday, August 12. The Pelion FFA Float was judged the outstanding entry and awarded the grand prize.

State FFA President Amanda Hiott and State Secretary Ashton Berry rode in the parade and visited the truck and tractor show.

Frank R. Stover, Jr., Agricultural Education teacher at Pelion High School, is the FFA advisor.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

SC Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers is accompanied by Pelion FFA member at the Antique Truck and Tractor show. Pelion FFA members welcome Congressman Joe Wilson to the S.C. Peanut Party.
