SC YOUNG FARMER AND AGRIBUSINESS ASSOCIATION AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS

COLUMBIA, SC… Samuel Hall, a member of the York FFA Chapter, and Gillian Tuttle, a member of the Barnwell County Career Center FFA Chapter, have each received a $500 college scholarship from the South Carolina Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

The scholarships were presented by Henry Herndon of Bamberg, President of the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, at the recent State FFA Convention held at Clemson University.

The South Carolina Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association annually awards scholarships to outstanding FFA members who have excelled academically, developed an impressive supervised agricultural experience program and demonstrated superb leadership abilities. The recipients must attend Clemson University and major in agriculture.

Samuel Hall’s FFA Advisor is Frank Sandifer, Agricultural Education Teacher at the Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center in York. Gillian Tuttle’s FFA Advisor is Mindy Sandifer, Agricultural Education Teacher at the Barnwell County Career Center.
