KELLER WINS FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIP AT STATE FAIR

COLUMBIA, SC….Rebecca Keller, a member of the York FFA Chapter, was awarded a $1000 college scholarship by the SC Farm Bureau at the SC State Fair on October 22, 2006, for her accomplishments in Wether goat production, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

“Criteria for selection of the scholarship winner includes a written test, showmanship abilities and overall knowledge of Wether goat production,” Parris said.

Mrs. Frances Price of Gilbert, Chair of the SC Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, presented the scholarship check to Rebecca.

A freshman at York Technical College, Rebecca is the daughter of Brian and Naomi Keller of York. Her FFA advisor is Frank Sandifer, Agricultural Education teacher at the Floyd D. John Technology Center in York.
