BROWN AWARDED CONSERVATION SCHOLARSHIP
ABBEVILLE, SC….Tyler Brown, State FFA Vice President of Abbeville, was recently awarded the H.O. Mullinax Memorial Scholarship by the Abbeville County Conservation District, according to John W., Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Mr. Mullinax, a long time banker in Donalds, served for many years as a commissioner and chairman of the Abbeville County Conservation District. He was a great supporter of conservation education and the FFA.
The Abbeville Conservation District Board of Commissioners established the scholarship in memory of Mr. Mullinax and to recognize an outstanding high school senior in Abbeville County each year.
Tyler served as president of the local FFA Chapter during school year 2005-06. His FFA Advisor is Fred Raines, Agricultural Education teacher at Abbeville High School.
