WAGGONER WINS RFD-TV NATIONAL FFA COMPETITION
PENDLETON, SC…Emily Waggoner, a member of the Pendleton FFA Chapter and former State FFA Association Secretary, was named national winner of the RFD-TV Network’s “Watch and Win” competition following the August 21, 2006 “FFA TODAY” TV show, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
The TV network posts questions about subjects discussed at the end of each “FFA TODAY” telecast for FFA members across the nation to answer and compete for merchandise provided by the National FFA Service Center.
“This is a great honor for Emily, the SC FFA Association and Clemson University because the RFD-TV Network reaches 30 million homes in the nation”, Parris said.
Emily, a sophomore at Clemson University majoring in Animal and Pre-Veterinary Science, is the daughter of Steve and Kitty Waggoner of Pendleton. Her FFA advisor is Josh Murdock, Agricultural Education Teacher at Pendleton High School.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
