THURMOND FFA WILDLIFE TEAM COMPETES IN STATE FINALS
COLUMBIA, SC…The Thurmond Technology Center FFA Wildlife Management Team was named Runner-Up in the State Finals held at Pendleton High School, recently according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Team members Crystal Burckhalter, Angel Henderson, Jessica Gibson and Josh McIlvried were coached by Hugh Bland, an Agricultural Education teacher and FFA Advisor at the Center.
The state competition, co-sponsored by Quail Unlimited in concert with the SC FFA Association, was conducted by Clemson University Agricultural Education Administrative officials and SC Department of Natural Resources specialists.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
