BEAM NAMED CONSERVATION TEACHER OF THE YEARKip Beam, Agri-Science and Technology Instructor at the Chester County Career Center, has been named Conservation Teacher of the Year by the Chester County Conservation District, according to John W .Parris, state director of public affairs for the SC Agricultural Educators Association.
Mr. Beam, a Chester County native, is a 1996 graduate of Clemson University with a BS Degree in Animal Science. He received a MS Degree in Animal Nutrition from Clemson in 1999. He served for four years as an area agricultural agent with the Clemson University Extension Service prior to being named head of the Agri-Science and Technology Department at the Career Center where he serves as FFA advisor. He and his wife, Robin, have two children.
The prestigious award was presented to Mr. Beam by Conservation Commissioner Mac Turner at the Conservation District Awards and Recognition Banquet held at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Fort Lawn, SC, on Thursday, March 8.
