IDAHO AGRICULTURAL EDUCATOR VISITS BARNWELL COUNTY CAREER CENTER

BARNWELL, SC…..Idaho Agricultural Educator Erica Whitmore recently visited the Barnwell County Career Center to observe the outstanding FFA and Adult Agricultural Education programs headed up by Mindy Sandifer, Agricultural Education Instructor at the center, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs for Agricultural Education in South Carolina. Ms. Whitmore stopped by Barnwell on her way to Atlanta, Georgia for the National Agricultural Educators Conference.

An Agricultural Education Instructor at Kendrick High School in Kendrick, Idaho, Ms. Whitmore offers courses in Agriculture Production, Livestock Production, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Soils, Forestry, Welding and Woodworking. She also serves as the local FFA chapter advisor.

A 2001 graduate of Washington State University where she met her husband, Paul, Ms. Whitmore serves as president of the local Lions Club and secretary of the Idaho Agricultural Educators Association.

Ms. Whitmore visited the Edisto Research and Education Center near Blackville and a number of farms and other agri-businesses while in Barnwell County.
