NATIONAL FFA VICE PRESIDENT VISITS LAKE MARION HIGH SCHOOL

COLUMBIA, SC…National FFA Vice President Jennifer Himburg of Ariton, Alabama, recently visited Lake Marion High School near Santee to meet with FFA members and their advisor to observe the modern agricultural education classroom and laboratory facilities and learn about the local FFA program.

Miss Himburg, on leave from Auburn University where she is majoring in Agricultural Communications, was in South Carolina to address the FFA-sponsored State Legislators Appreciation Luncheon in Columbia, SC, and to visit a select number of FFA chapters.

Others who joined Miss Himburg at Lake Marion High included Jeff Papke, Program Specialist with the National FFA Organization, Indianapolis, Indiana; Keith Cox, State Executive Secretary for the SC FFA Association with Clemson University; Allen Wright, State FFA Vice President, McBee; Lara Boyd, State FFA Vice President, Aiken; Steve Sanderson, Associate State Director of Agricultural Education Administration with Clemson University, Sumter; and John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association, Columbia.

James Ulmer, Agricultural Education Instructor at Lake Marion High, serves as the FFA advisor.
