MANNING FFA AWARDS HONORARY FFA DEGREES

Manning High School FFA members presented the Honorary FFA Chapter Degree to four friends and supporters at a special ceremony on February 28, 2007, in conjunction with the observance of National FFA Week.

Ms. Mabel Charles, Ms. Brenda Keels, Rev. Morris Smith and John W. Parris received the prestigious award at an FFA-sponsored Luncheon held at the high school.

FFA Chapter President Jennifer Smith presided at the ceremony. Michael Shorter, Manning High School Principal, and Michael Haynes, Agri-Science and Technology Instructor, addressed the group following the presentation.

Manning High School has the largest number of FFA members of any chapter in South Carolina.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success in agricultural education.
