CLOVER FFA MEMBER TO ADDRESS AGRICULTURAL EDUCATORS
AT CLEMSON CONFERENCECLEMSON, SC….Flint Holbrook, a rising junior at Clover High School and vice president of the Clover FFA Chapter, will address Agricultural Educators on Bio-Fuels: The Ethanol Alternative during the annual conference of the South Carolina Agricultural Educators Association at Clemson University, July 16-19, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Holbrook has been recognized by the National FFA Organization with a Silver Emblem in the Alternative Fuels Proficiency Awards and Recognition Program. He was also featured on the national RFD-TV Satellite Network’s FFA Today Show which highlighted his success in the production of bio-diesel.
A featured speaker at the SC Soil and Water Conservation Society-sponsored Alternative Fuels Seminar held in Myrtle Beach earlier the year, Holbrook discussed his experience in the production of bio-diesel.
A finalist in the 2007 State FFA Public Speaking competition, Holbrook spoke on Bio-diesel and South Carolina.
Holbrook is the son of Flint and Beverly Holbrook of Clover. His FFA Advisor is Carrie C. Bolin, Agricultural Education Teacher at Clover High School.
