HOWLE RECIPIENT OF TOP STATE FFA AWARD

CLEMSON, SC…Kenneth Howle, a member and past president of the McBee FFA Chapter, was named recipient of the prestigious State FFA Individual Award during the State FFA Convention held at Clemson University recently.

Kenneth received an expense-paid trip to the National FFA Convention set for Indiana, Indiana, in October. This recognition program is sponsored by John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA Association, Columbia, SC, in concert with the SC FFA Foundation.

The award is designed to recognize one FFA member in South Carolina each year who has excelled in academic achievement, developed a superb supervised agricultural experience program and demonstrated exceptional leadership skills.

The son of Kenneth and Wendy Howle and a 2007 graduate of McBee High School, Kenneth will enter Clemson University this fall. His FFA advisor is Pat Earle, Agricultural Education Instructor at McBee High School.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
